Request a dock builder
If your dock is damaged after a storm or you think its wiring is unsafe, call. For new docks, boathouses, lifts and planned repairs, send a request and a local builder will call you back.
Before you call
It helps to have:
- Your community or cove and address, plus which county the lot is in if you know
- What you need: a new dock, a boathouse or roof, a lift, repairs, or riprap
- Your boat's length and type, plus any PWCs
- Roughly how much shoreline your lot has, and whether you have a survey or recorded plat
- Whether you're buying or selling, since dock permits have to be assigned
Wiring on the dock wet or damaged? Shut off power to the dock at the shore and keep everyone out of the water around it until a licensed electrician has checked it.
